  I have worked on the structural biology and biophysics of the conserved Exocyst complex, which plays essential roles in cell secretion and cell division. I am presently working on mechanisms by which the spindle assembly checkpoint regulates cell division in mammalian cells. Dysfunction of either the Exocyst complex or the spindle assembly checkpoint lead to abnormal cell division and aneuploidy - a hallmark of all cancers.
