Ministry of Natural Resources, Kurdistan Regional Government – Iraq Prepared the first draft of the “Kurdistan Metallic Mining Law”. in 2010 Prepared the first draft of the “Kurdistan non-Metallic Mining Law”, “KEPCO (Kurdistan Exploration and Production Company) Law” – The national oil company of the Kurdistan Region, “Kurdistan Oil and Gas Taxation Law” and the “Kurdistan Oil and Gas Revenue Fund Law”. in 2010-2011 Involved in the negotiations between the Kurdistan Regional Government-Iraq and the Iraqi Federal Government, regarding the Iraqi Federal Hydrocarbon Law. One of the main members involved in the team that prepared the Kurdistan Oil and Gas law, as well as translating it to both Arabic and Kurdish. Involved in preparing the designs for the new oil storage facilities, oil refineries, fuel stations and gas filling factories. Supervising over 25 projects within the Erbil and Duhok governorates related to geological surveying mineral investigation. Involved in 27 management committees that the Ministry has established with the Oil Companies, 17 of which as chairman. These include Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Total, Hess and Marathon Oil amongst others. Supervised correspondence between the Iraqi Federal Government and the Kurdish Regional Government on petroleum and mineral related matters. Head of quality control, work permitting (visa and residency), localisation, distribution and transportation of fuel, fuel supply to power plants, access permits, import/export and purchasing/selling of oil products. Member of multiple committees regarding to oil and gas issues related to the council of ministers, legal affairs, capacity building and distribution of fuel amongst others. Show less
