  EMAL on 2003. aastal loodud maastikuarhitektide ja maastikuarhitektuuriteadlaste vabatahtlik, sõltumatu ja demokraatlik loominguline erialaühendus, mis tegutseb liikmete omavalitsuse alusel ning mille eesmärkideks on:_esindada ja edendada maastikuarhitektuuri eriala Eestis;_kaitsta oma liikmete loomingulisi, kutseõiguslikke ja majanduslikke huvisid;_teha koostööd teiste organisatsioonidega;_korraldada erialaseid konkursse;_arendada maastikuarhitektuurialast koolitust ning toetada liikmete enesetäiendamist;_osaleda maastikuarhitektuuri kutseala korraldamisel Eestis;_teha ettepanekuid maastikuarhitektuurse pärandi kaitse alla võtmiseks, kaitse korraldamiseks ja dokumentaalse materjali säilitamiseks;_vahendada informatsiooni liidu liikmetele ja anda välja trükiseid;_jagada tunnustust silmapaistvatele saavutustele maastikuarhitektuuri valdkonnas, anda välja stipendiume.----------------------Estonian Landscape Architects’ Union (ELAU) is the professional organization of Estonian landscape architects, founded in 2003. Aims of the association are:_represent and promote the profession of landscape architecture in Estonia;_protect the creative, legal and economical rights of it’s members;_cooperate with other organizations;_organize professional competitions;_develop landscape architecture education, training and to promote self-education courses for its members;_participate in arrangement of vocational regulations of landscape architecture in Estonia;_propose for protection and management of landscape architectural heritage and to preserve documentation about the heritage;_mediate the information to its members and publish printed matters;_recognize outstanding landscape architectural accomplishments and issue scholarships.
