 Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS, GRAP and GAAP standards.  Implementing financial management and accounting systems (biased largely to asset accounting).  Crafting and implementation of accounting policies and operating procedures in compliance with varied legislation e.g. the Companies Act, PFMA, MFMA and National Treasury Guidelines.  Internal control systems implementation.  Fixed Asset projects planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.  Developing IFRS or GRAP compliant fixed asset registers for varied entities in the public and private sector. The tasks around this implementation include, but are not limited to the following operational tasks: - asset additions, disposals, depreciation calculations, impairments, useful life reviews, residual value reviews, error corrections and asset verifications. NB: The largest asset registers worked on total +/-800,000 assets valued at +/- R4Bn.  Managing and reporting on asset valuation exercises.  Liaising with auditors to ensure successful outcome of annual audits.  Facilitating training workshops on asset management and asset accounting.  Onsite and remote management of team members.  Discussing varied reports with the clients’ management.  Liaising with stakeholders on expected outcomes and risk identification and mitigation.  Software testing (use case testing) of asset accounting systems prior to release.
