  Duties: - Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) engineer site overseeing construction of a landfill lining/capping system at the Auchenlosh Landfill site near Dumfries. Daily duties involved interpreting test results to ensure materials utilised meet CQA specifications and overseeing placement of geotextiles. Undertaken monthly monitoring of gas and emissions to ensure adequate gas and leachate control is in place. Frequently communicate with SEPA. Produce CQA plans and CQA validation reports.- Monitored Earthworks at a major road construction in Bishopton using lime to condition and improve site-won clay. - Created ground investigation reports and schedule testing to determine the contaminative status of the area in question.- Production of geotechnical/geochemical interpretative reports and desk studies- Assistant site supervisor of large ground investigation on the A9 Dalnaspidal to Kingussie – surpervised Trial pits, CP holes, Rotary and sonic drills. Communicated with land owners. Scheduled testing and installations. - Rock mapping/DIPS analysis of joints recorded along the A82 to determine potential failure mechanisms- Inspection of Network Rail sites and creation of Form 003 - determining appropriate remediation measures. - Assistant site supervisor monitoring drilling/blasting and causeway construction at Lochboisdale, South Uist. Duties included checking blasting designs, and general supervision of the works. Evaluation of the material testing results to determine the suitability of materials sourced on site- Familiar with SLIDE software
