  The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) media team is one of the busiest media teams in WA. Responsibilities included drafting and implementing high profile communication campaigns, responding strategically to complex media enquiries and writing a range of communication material including ministerial and Departmental speeches, talking points and media releases. I also coordinated public information for incidents where DFES is the Hazard Management Agency, for example bushfires, storms and cyclones. This role includes being on-call and responding to incidents outside business hours.
