The The British Council are one of my PR clients whom I have had steady relationship with over the past years.Since its debut at the Times Cheltenham Science Festival in 2005, FameLab has grown into one of the world's leading science communication competitions. It aims to discover charismatic, up-and-coming scientists who can explain complicated scientific concepts in a fun and accessible way. Much like an ‘X-factor’ for scientists, competitors have three minutes to present their concept on stage in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. My job as publicist was to promote every stage of the competition using my media contacts and knowledge of the media landscape. *Increase applications during call-to- entry period*Continue to spread the word about FameLab to early-career researchers by highlighting the programme’s key benefits (skills development; access to international networks; etc*Increase exposure of FameLab and its finalists*Build awareness of the competition among a broader, more general audience in order to change the stereotype of science as uninteresting and difficult to understand and to promote science as part of popular culture*Increase attendance to events*Achieve greater audience numbers for the 2017 semi-finals and national final by encouraging people to join us at one of the free live events or to tune in from home via the live stream

Working with the TEDx Sydney team as a Curator, has been a wonderful experience. Working with an amazing 'satellite team' with a shared passion for content and ideas that inspire has me using my skills as a journalist, storyteller and professional media trainer. On my TEDx journey so far, I have curated speakers ranging from controversial neurosurgeon Dr Charlie Teo AM, to the Editor of the Macquarie Dictionary Susan Butler, to Schizophrenia expert, Prof Cyndi Shannon Weickert. As of 2017 I have taken over the reigns of Supervising Producer for the Youth stage.

I hosted the Drive show on Monday afternoon's between 4 - 6pm for almost two years. In this volunteer position, I presented a weekly show based on local news and current affairs, the arts and health related topics. I adored hosting the show and the opportunities it gave me to talk about local and international stories that mattered to my Sydney audience. I interviewed local MP's, artists, chef's, Professor's fellow journalists and anyone with a great story to tell. In this role I also mentored young producers and trained them to become better storytellers and radio makers. Audio of interviews can be supplied.

I have made various radio features for the ABC. I have a passion for storytelling through podcasts and radio. The have made radio features for the ABC's social history program 'Hindsight', and also for the indescribably ethereal (now defunct) 'Night Air' program. I use Wavelab, Netia, Audacity and Protools to tell stories through audio.

I have worked across a diverse range of national and local programs at ABC local radio in Sydney as a reporter and a producer. I have worked with James O’loghlin, Adam Spencer, Richard Glover and Julian Morrow among many others. My work as a senior producer involved managing staff, content delivery and exercising editorial responsibility over all facets of programming and content making including writing blogs, creating podcasts & script writing. I have made investigative feature programs for radio national (RN) and have worked across NSW as a rural reporter. I still frequently work as an Executive Producer at 2GB radio where I began my radio career when I was 21 years old. Creating a time line is difficult, as I have moved in and out of radio, depending on other contract and television work. I worked as a producer across several program at ABC 702 over the Summer of 16/ 17. Also at 2GB.
