Pekka Hurskainen
Sini was coordinating the Eritrea-specific higher education capacity building programme between Eritrea and Finland in 2016-2018. She started with her task in a challenging situation, when the five Eritrea projects were already in implementation phase, but handled the situation extremely well from the first day until completion in 2018. She managed to tackle all hurdles and hickups in project coordination one by one by promoting true partnership and equality between Finnnish and Eritrean partners, and was extremely understanding of the special conditions, and flexible with whatever difficulties the HEI-ICI projects were facing.
