Bio
Claire Lajaunie
I have had the opportunity to recruiting Mr Singh as a research assistant on an international academic research project funded by the French National Agency for Research (ANR) entitled FutureHealthSEA (PIs S. Morand, C. Lajaunie). As a researcher in public and environmental law in charge of the legal and policy studies (in public health and the environment) within the project, I have been working with Mr Singh since June 2021. Because of the pandemic situation, we had to work remotely and from different countries and it has been a great comfort to notice that Prem Singh Gill was autonomous in his research and very diligent. Prem has a real sense of networking when it comes to initiate new collaborations and he is comfortable in international academic environments. He is a hard worker and he is curious and willing to solve issues and he is very responsive. The best proof is probably that at the end of his contract, he helped me find partners in Southeast Asia for a research proposal funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I have been impressed by its capacity to find and contact the right people. The project been selected and now Prem has a new position of assistant researcher on that project on wildlife law in Southeast Asia co-supervised by my colleague Prof. Ainul Jaria Maidin and myself. For all those reasons, I highly recommend Prem, he is an asset in research activities.
Thanaphat Lapsirikul
Prem, who is my mentor and the most detailed-oriented person who I have ever studied with. As a guest lecturer at Thammasat University, I would highly recommend an outstanding with highly respect not just in academia and scholar, but also in Thai politics, a well-known Indian diaspora community in Thailand who has helped bringing changes in Thai society. He is the leader of Thailand's future that I can think of. All the best!
