I have been teaching Sinead in a number of subjects over the last two years. Sinead had an excellent attendance record with all the lecturers in the Institute and a conscientious worker. She was very punctual with her project work in terms of delivery, quality of output and deadlines. Sinead is a sincere, hard working individual and I would have no hesitation in recommending her for a position that will assist her in her future working career.

The role of the Business Support Team was to answer the any queries relating to the newly implemented I.T system by any of the FBD phone agents. The new I.T system was rolled out nationwide within the company in June of this year. The purpose of this system upgrade was to create a more user friendly and efficient way to carry out the day to day needs of the business, e.g. Quoting for New Business, in the areas of Car, Home and Van Insurance.. My role as a Business Support Team Member involved taking calls from any of the agents working on the new IT system and resolving these issues on the call as quick as possible, in order for them to proceed. The issues from users ranged from navigating through different areas on the new system, requests to update customers details, getting advice on updated business processes to ensure they were following correct procedure, as well as advising of performance issues e.g. slowness on the system. When I received an issue from an agent, I would then log this issue with the IT Service Desk or Application Support in order for this issue to be resolved as soon as possible. In order to monitor the performance of the system since implementation, I would update a performance log to track trends of issues that were being raised by the phone agents, so that these trends could be investigated and resolved to mitigate downtime for agents.

    • Business Tester
      • May 2014 - Aug 2016

My role as a Business Tester for FBD includes scripting for Business processes and testing as a day to day user to make sure our system works and meets our business needs. While fulfilling my role as a tester as part of a Model Office team, I created documentation checklists to ensure that when testing documents on the new system that all content displayed in its usual manor. I also have knowledge of data dictionaries, regression testing, retesting in new releases, software release process, logging defects with developers on Quality Centre and retesting these defects to ensure the defects have been rectified when the new release has been implemented, as well as end-to end testing Over the time frame that I have spent as a Business Tester, I got involved in charity events which FBD sponsored, such as the one listed below; Difference Day for Camphill. The Camphill community is located in Dunshane, Co.Kildare and plays host to many residents within the area of Dunshane. Over the duration of the day 150 colleagues, friends and I helped to revamp the grounds of the Camphill by completing numerous tasks such as building new football and basketball courts as well as creating a secret walkway.

    • Personal Insurance Advisor
      • Jun 2015 - Oct 2015

Dealing with customer queries over the phone, processing renewals as well as generating New Business Sales in the line of Car, Home and Commercial insurance. My role also includes some administration work sending out new documentation and requesting special documents to be sent to former customers such as No Claims Bonus certificates. In order to comply with regulatory procedures I have to ensure that I am complying with Central Bank regulations by ensuring I am using the Consumer Protection Code correctly on each call that I make. The call centre environment is a very busy one in which I achieve tight deadlines, this is where my multi-tasking skills come into place. I also received training in relation to Data Protection and the Complaint process. During my time spent as a Personal Insurance Advisor, I participated in Fraud training to become more aware of how fraud occurs and the steps we can put in place to prevent fraud. This is an area of great importance to the insurance industry as numerous claims can be turn out to be fraudulent, and up costing the industry millions.
