Responsible for the fabrication, testing and validation of components to ensure design specifications are met.- Lead engineer of Global New Product Platforms, teaming up with Europe and Asia core engineering teams for launching a customer- base faucet series.- Achieved $1.2M per year cost savings on a bathroom faucet series by designing an automated assembly fixture that feeds the internal components into the faucet, reducing the assembly rate. Project Management:- Communicating and collaborating with internal manufacturing plants and overseas suppliers throughout the tooling and production build process for creating PPAP documents such as DFMEA, DVP/R, CpK, PpK.- Lead and manage overseas technical support team through the design concept and development phase, ensuring the drawings observe code requirements, assembly notes and GD&T. Conducted CFD analysis to validate the modifications in the design.Project Management:- Led in design and development from concept to launch of a Bathroom product line consisting 30 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) which was the highest revenue generating series launched in an aggressive timeline.-Achieved 30% cost reduction on a faucet series through alternate material usage, reusing existing parts and implementing unique fastening methods to reduce assembly line operations.- Responsible for the product launch deliverable documents that include drafting 3D CAD, documenting tolerance stacks and controlling critical features with GD&T in 2D drawings. Leadership: - Lead engineer for a new unique Diverter mechanism in bath faucets, that paved the way for a broader spectrum of design aesthetics for the products to come.-Lead a cost reduction project of a sourced stamped part, that achieved the target cost savings of $550K for the BU.
