    • Head of Quality
      • May 2019 - Present

As Head of Quality I have a UK wide leadership responsibility for our quality review and audit framework, safeguarding arrangements, senior lead responsibility for health and safety, facilitation of our ‘Tell Us’ processes around compliments, complaints and annual survey activity and information governance. I also fulfil company secretary duties, supporting our board to implement innovation and good governance inline with the Charity Commission's good practice. I am proud to be part of a very dynamic and inspirational senior management team and wider workforce who have a deep commitment to supporting people and delivering our values. Professional, determined, open minded, big hearted and genuine. I'm thoroughly enjoying being part of the PSS team where I play a key role in further driving the development of person centred support across a diverse range of service areas, developing great Charity governance arrangements and regulatory inspection preparation that will take us from good to outstanding. In addition to my core job responsibilities, I am currently leading the implementation of our organisational sustainability plan, and for the past two years I have led the co-designing and implementation of our ‘Fair Play for All’ Equality, Diversity and Inclusion plan. The key focus here has been mobilising and empowering working groups that enable us to drive development and change, establishing of sharing and learning networks and engaging our workforce, people we support and partnership agencies in collaborative working and projects. As a trained coach, I also support the development and embedding of our growing coaching culture. The emphasis here is on supporting staff to be solution focussed, to thrive and live their best life in their roles. Show less

    • Trustee, Vice Chair and Residential Coordinator (Volunteer Roles)
      • Aug 2010 - Jul 2017

Sefton Childrens Trust (established in 1984) provides respite for up to 70 Sefton children aged 8-11 each year through a week long activity holiday away from the daily challenges they are experiencing. We also resource food and toy hampers for each family and coordinate a family day over the Christmas period which is often one of the most challenging periods for the families we support. The annual residential is supported by 30 trained volunteers from a range of backgrounds who play a key pastoral care role in the lives of these children during their time with us. My involvement in this Charity has enabled me to maintain my skills in service delivery at the front line, whilst also utlising my strategic leadership and fundraising expertise to assist in achieving our annual target of £45k to run this fully volunteer led initiative. Although no longer a trustee, I have continued to volunteer providing operational support during the annual residential and fundraising assistance. Show less
