  I am based in the new entrant class working with the class teacher and a specialist teacher to support a student with special needs and assist in the transition of new children and their families/ whanau to our school. I also liaise with the family, our special needs co-ordinator, the specialist teacher and various special education services to ensure the students all round needs are met and to assess progress and implement programs and activities and maintain up to date records following their guidelines. I have worked with a wide range of children with a wide range of needs, each is a challenge, but I love it. It keeps me on my toes and learning every day Show less
