    • Team Leader Business & ICT
      • Apr 2011 - Jul 2012

I joined The JCB Academy at Easter 2011. I was employed for the first term to design and implement a creative curriculum for both KS4 and KS5 business students. This curriculum was to be integrated into other core subjects and build on deep industrial links providing a real life ‘challenging’ context for the students. I was also responsible for KS4 and KS5 ICT. The first cohort of KS4 ICT results were as follows; 50% of students achieved grades AA, 24% of students achieved grades BB and 23% of students achieved grades CC. The business programme at KS5 started in September 2011, I built links with Lymestone Brewery, Haughton Design, JCB Heavy Products, Toyota, KPMG and PWC. Halfway through the first cohort of KS5 business students I was internally promoted to ‘Director of Post 16 Studies’ with responsibility for The JCB Academy VI Form. Initially for the first two terms I held both positions at the Academy. Show less
