  I specialise in undertaking noise assessments, either as stand-alone projects or part of larger projects such as Environmental Impact Assessments. My project work has been associated with a variety of sectors including power, renewable energy (wind farms), oil/gas, property development, water treatment, industry, transport infrastructure, waste and mineral extraction. I am a full member of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) and have completed a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control from the IOA. I have been directly involved with the delivery of noise assessments for the energy and renewable sector as standalone reports or within a Environmental Impact Assessments. This work has varied from wind farms, energy from waste facilities, gas engines and mineral mining. Evidence relating to some of these projects has also been presented at Public Inquiry.My roles have included identification of noise assessment requirements and identification of potential stumbling blocks, site layout and operational design to reduce noise impact, reaching agreement with local authorities on noise monitoring methodologies, agreeing receptor limits and acoustic related public and stakeholder consultations Key Skills includeNoise Sections for Environmental Scoping & Environmental Impact Assessments;Wind farm Assessments;Planning Assessments for residential, industrial, commercial, retail and education developments;Community Consultation; Assessment of internal acoustic performance of buildings;Acoustic modelling such as SoundPLAN, LimA, INSUL and Bastian;Sound insulation.
