I met Simon Tshindela from the Protestant University of Congo when I was a student in 2004 and it was an absolute pleasure to study with him. Simon was a very good and diligent student. I met him for the second time in 2014 when I joined the US embassy Kinshasa where he was also working. Simon was placed in a position of trust in within the organization, a position that rightly deserved. We depended on Simon to ensure that motor pool was maintain on timely manner , a function that he performed really well due to his ethical work standard, diligent attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft Office and logistics program, as well as our own in-house programs. Simon was instrumental in the management . His attention to detail here also saved the US embassy a large sum of money as he was able to analyze and detect a number of discrepancies in the business. I was impressed by his work ethic and communication skills. He was really good at providing customer feedback and this improved its public image and provide value to the embassy consumers. His interaction with staff was always professional and he was always able to maintain an exemplary relation, even in difficult situations.
