Michael Steinmetz
Simon spear-headed multiple projects this semester. To start, he organized the roll-out of the Collegix 8 upgrade. He then assisted in gathering information for our project to move the security cameras from IT up to the security office. The last major project was inventory of our former networking equipment. Simon would also assist Brandon whenever he needed extra help on his tasks. Simon was an excellent worker throughout this internship. Some of these tasks were mundane (like the inventory), but he would always promptly start his work. I was surprised at how quick he would achieve his goals. He never grumbled or gave indication that the work was tedious or beneath him. He was always ready to work hard, and he efficiently organized and executed his goals. If I had another opening, I would hire Simon on to work full-time.

Simon Steele, JR is a quick learner and very willing to work. He has worked for me as a Network Tech for Valbin Corp, which is a very fast-paced, temporary assignment performing duties to support National Guard XCTC training including, inventorying and setting up a network and Database maintenance for GPS tracking of over 1300 soldiers' activities, including laser tag, type training, in real time field exercises for after action recording and review. Simon has excellent communications skills and a finely honed attention to detail. He has proven these skills using military radio etiquette procedures as well as keen observations of inventory control of radios and data equipment. Simon would be a great asset to any database, network, IT business.
