Simon Städeli is my business partner and the co-owner of our venture, Road2Argentina, a two-person firm that creates and manages custom cultural immersion experiences for interns, volunteers, and exchange students. Simon is data-driven and a superb analytical thinker. He helped spearhead Road’s marketing efforts, making important decisions about which channels to invest our small company’s precious income in, and his quantitative abilities were also important when setting the prices for Road’s programs. He thoroughly analyzed currency exchange rates and inflation levels to determine appropriate prices that made both business sense and were affordable to our customers. Simon is one of the most persistent and hardest-working professionals I have ever encountered. He is attentive to detail and cares deeply about his professional relationships. He constantly looks for ways to make sure that deals and partnerships benefit all parties involved. He is also very open-minded and welcomes learning opportunities and different perspectives. He is someone who has lived in four different countries and cultures and this experience is most evident in his ability to connect easily with Road’s program participants, who come from all over the world. Perhaps what I respect and admire most about Simon is his patience and ability to remain level-headed in stressful situations. He stays calm and works to evaluate as many different perspectives as possible in order to make fair and balanced decisions. On top of it all, Simon is curious and an enthusiastic learner. I am confident that it is this characteristic, coupled with all of Simon’s other skills outlined above, that will make him a fantastic addition to any company or organization moving forward.
