Development of music apps for iOS and Android (Practice Bird) in C#, and OpenSheetMusicDisplay in Typescript/Javascript, an open source sheet music renderer for the browser. Also, Linux server administration and Cloud server management. In OpenSheetMusicDisplay, I have been the main developer for a long time (and am still among the main developers), solving engineering problems, publishing releases, and providing developer support. I've created a visual regression testing system that provides a visual diff for music scores, which makes it much easier to detect and test changes in music score rendering than via unit testing. Since becoming a main developer on OpenSheetMusicDisplay (OSMD), we have gained support from more than 40 concurrent sponsors on Github, and were approached for partnerships from multiple business using OSMD to create music platforms, cooperating with us for specific additions and improvements to OSMD suited to their needs. I also (singlehandedly) migrated a very old Linux webserver to the cloud, including a problematic OS upgrade with many breaking changes, (re-)configuration of MySQL, Apache, SSL and other systems, PHP development, regular maintenance via console (ssh), and newly created and fully automated scripts. This webserver is regularly serving hundreds of customers since many months without major incidents. Show less

I assisted Jun.-Prof. Dr. Elisabetta Chicca in her course on Olfactory processing in insects: biology, modeling and hardware implementations. I researched and reviewed papers for use in the course, held presentations on them and led seminar sessions on my own. • Tutor for Artificial Intelligence
      • Feb 2012 - May 2012

Tutorial seminar to support other students' learning and practicing in the Artificial Intelligence (Methoden der KI) lecture of Bielefeld University by Ipke Wachsmuth. Grading of homework, explaining lecture material, moderating the seminar.

    • Research Assistant for Virtual Reality
      • Aug 2010 - May 2012

Java, X3D, XML, Javascript, Python development:I designed and implemented a guiding and pathfinding system using graph algorithms for a person entering 3D VR that was shown around the old city of Tübingen by our virtual agent Max. The implementation involved programming in Java, X3D, Javascript and Python, computer graphics, dialogue management and parsing. I set up and performed demonstrations for groups of people in the 3D Virtual reality Cave (using 3D glasses and tracking technology) running on X3D/Instant Reality.I mainly worked under my supervisors Ipke Wachsmuth and Felix Rabe in the Virtual Reality project "May I guide you? – Context-Aware Embodied Cooperative Systems in Virtual Environments". More information on the project on its website at CITEC:http://www.cit-ec.de/research/MIGYI also worked for other projects of the AI group in general, mostly using the VR technology involving the 3D Cave, 3D world-building and modelling using X3D, Instant Reality, virtual agents with dialogue management, gesture programming and animation, Tracking and other AI/HCI/VR technology.More on the Cave and the VR lab of the AI group:http://www.techfak.uni-bielefeld.de/ags/wbski/labor.html Show less
