  Performed mechanical design and developed emergency energy-absorbing seating systems for aircraft and land vehicle, meeting FAA and MIL standards. Designed components and control mechanisms to meet strength, functionality, ergonomics, and weight requirements. Authored and conducted dynamic, static and environmental tests, as well as authoring test reports. Pilot seat projects I’ve led from concept to serial production: Bell Canada armored seat, Bell 412 rotorcraft, Bell V280 prototype, KAI LAH rotorcraft armored seat. Currently working on Bell V-280 Valor helicopter seating systems. Responsible for various R&D projects, including: a 30° reclining corporate seat, a lightweight pilot seat and a floor deformation-able rotating seat base. Submitted a patent on an adjustable energy absorbing system. Managed budgets of $1M. Received “Best Worker Award” for efficiency, creativity, and innovation, and the “General Manager Award” for achievements in engineering and product development. Show less
