Better Me e.V. is a German NGO operating in Kisumu, Kenya, promoting education, child and youth welfare following a holistic approach. As Volunteer Coordinator my main task was to create a unique and meaningful experience for the volunteers while fostering their personal development and build a network of supporters. I designed framework and guidelines for the Volunteer Program which now serves an income generating activity. In 2016 I became the Program Manager overseeing all our projects and lead a multicultural team of 3-5. I ensure that the projects are aligned to our Strategic Plan and serve as the main contact person for our development partners and support them in project design, management and M&E. Together with the Executive Director I have been growing Better Me e.V. from grassroots level to an NGO. I have been leading the development of the long-term strategy of the organization, spearhead the design of new projects, build the capacity of our partners and lead grant writing efforts. Show less
