I met Simon only a few months ago as I was recommended to him by another client and friend. When clients come to work with me, I love nothing more than to hit them with the "Razzle Dazzle" and shock them with funny stories and big moments of connection between the parts of their lives that we don't think of. Teaching is my thing, though I do like to learn... and no this is not all about me. I am getting to my point. Some times, the "Razzle Dazzle" comes the opposite direction and the learning comes the other way. I think at the time I met Simon I had maybe reached a plateau of comfort in doing what I was doing, while Simon was on a journey of self discovery and stepping outside of the 6 inches that surround his ankles. He is the personification of mental and physical stamina and huge drive to explore the next step, but without the greed that usually accompanies ambition. A hugely warm, kind and grateful young man with the want and willingness to improve the lives of others. He is also an Emergency Medical Technician who is currently on the front line in the fight against Covid 19 in Ireland... and doing it voluntarily. Testament to his nature, Salesforce are supporting him with leave to aid in the Covid 19 response and have also featured him in an article to all of their EMEA staff. I am immensely proud of the strides Simon has taken since I met him first. Proud to now call him a friend and I am eternally grateful for the lessons he has thought me in stepping back off the plateau I was on guided by his inspiration.
