• Chief of Staff on Communications Programme (Major)

  Coordinated the installation, design, certification and conversion of 15,000 military vehicles with the latest military communication and information system.Key Achievements:•Negotiating a favourable contract amendment for rationalising the conversion of a Land Rover training fleet resulting in approximately £10M of savings. •Coordinated and managed an increase of conversion throughput by 50% over a 12 month period, leading to reduced downtime for the operationally vital military fleet.•Project managed and delivered a very short notice project for deployment on operations to Afghanistan

  Project managed £90M communication software project and 9 communication hardware projects with a total value of £50M and approximately 25,000 users; all part of a £3Bn major defence change programme.Key Achievements:•Successfully brought into military service ComBAT, a £90M software communications project on time, to performance and cost for use by 25,000 military operators, significantly enhancing operational effectiveness at home and abroad in Afghanistan and Iraq.•Successfully negotiated major changes to the 9 hardware projects that saved circa. £25M.

  Led and managed a team of 160 personnel and 100 diverse and complex vehicles providing logistic support in England, Northern Ireland and Iraq.Key Achievements:•Successfully prepared and deployed the organisation, against tight timelines and within limited resources, for deployment on operations to Iraq and Northern Ireland, providing vital logistic support enabling the sustainment of up to 10,000 deployed UK forces.•Provided policy lead and managed major change; restructuring the personnel and allocation of equipment realising a 20% efficiency in resource costs.

• Integrated Logistics Support Manager (Major)

  Managed and implemented the logistic and equipment support aspects for 10 Army equipment projects ranging from £1M to £250M. Ensuring the contractor provided the required support to sustain the equipment in all military environments.Key Achievements:•Successful delivery of £5M electronic warfare equipment against very tight deadlines for an operational requirement in Iraq.•Successfully established the support contract for a £100M communications installation, and achieved 10% efficiency savings over the first 12 months.
