I had the pleasure of working directly with Simon Evans over the past year while serving as a public relations consultant to his company, MTI. Simon is a very skilled director of operations with particular abilities at team management and ensuring consistent delivery of results. Simon has an ability to understand technically based details and to communicate appropriate information internally and externally to assure that objectives remain on track. I continue to look forward to other opportunities to work with Simon.

As a long time friend of Simon, I can say unequivocally that no one works harder or has higher standards or morals than Simon. He is a true professional in every sense of the word and it would be a pleasure to work with him on a project or business proposal.

Intellisphere combines the power of big-time publishing capabilities with intimate‚ dedicated attention to reader and client needs. With names like The American Journal of Managed Care®, Pharmacy Times®, CURE®‚ Oncology Live®‚ and MDMag®, Intellisphere reaches more than a half million healthcare professionals. Key achievements include: • Confronted with the need to establish a single healthcare professional subscriber database, built on a cloud-based Oracle repository, developed standard operating procedures using Microsoft Access for data maintenance, transfer and reporting. As a result, reduced the time to prepare publication subscriber lists for the printer by 500% and reduced volume of returned mail from 15% to 5%, within USPS tolerance • With duplication rates that failed BPA auditing requirements, introduced processes to reduce duplicates from ~7% to less than 1% • Mandated to increase subscriber communication channels, achieved growth from 10% to 90% through a mix of partners, research and purchases • After inheriting eMarketing campaign software that was unwieldy and expensive, led transition to new platform, focusing on List Management with data standardization, naming conventions and SOPs. Consequently, business development was able to increase sales of customized email campaigns by ~20% • With growth, the number of publications doubled and requests for reports and matches increased. After evaluating data elements to understand usage, transformations, lifecycle and quality, established and maintained standardized values to facilitate quick and accurate support for the sales/marketing teams, with the average time for providing solutions reduced from 72 to 4 hours. • As complexity increased, prepared technical specifications, collaborated in the validation process for verifying software system upgrades and ensured results were fit for purpose. Integrated 5 databases and systems, ensuring compliance Show less

Emerging from the demise of Marketing Technologies International, MTI was a healthcare professional (HCP) preference-driven, multi-channel marketing communications company servicing the pharmaceutical industry. MTI went out of business in December 2011. . Technical Connection Faced with a problem of how to implement multi-channel campaigns, designed, developed and implemented a Microsoft Access based prototype that was used successfully for more than 10 years. The prototype was ultimately replaced by robust, proprietary software platform. However, the success of the prototype enabled MTI to obtain professional relationship management (PRM) contracts with more than 20 brands at leading pharmaceutical companies. That, in turn, led to several years of rapid revenue growth – from $2m to $25m. Established and managed communication between the development and operation teams. Developed business & technical requirements using understanding, coming from 20+ years of programming across various platforms. Production Operations Team Once established, the next challenge was the day-to-day operation of the system to cope with an average of 10-15 multi-million dollar projects annually. To achieve that: • Established/documented operational procedures to ensure rapid implementation. Campaigns set up & operational within 72hrs. • To cope with the daily receipt of input files along with up to 2,000 (BRCs): o Developed and trained a 6-8 person team, establishing a platform that spearheaded cross-functional initiatives to achieve deployment of the rules-based messaging engine. Working closely with other departments, the team had responsibilities from project initiation to post-implementation deployment. o Established protocols for interaction with data provider (Wolters Kluwer), call centers, letter-shops and fulfillment and sample vendors. Organized annual day-long meetings to review protocols to ensure needs were met as the business model and operational systems evolved. Show less
