I used an integrated skills approach, in which the content of students' English lessons reflected the real-life summer school environment in which they were being taught; working as part of a team of three to ensure the general pastoral care of 40 students aged 9-16 in the context of a summer school boarding house; liaising with parents and agents, dealing with their concerns in a reactive fashion whilst ensuring the norms of the summer school were adhered to.
