After a brief period of a year on a motor vehicle apprenticeship scheme in 1996, I joined the family business which had been running since 1989, operating out of a converted 18th century house in the small town of Cullompton, it employed seven staff on a regular basis, my involvement with the business started at the bottom with part time studying and ended with me facilitating the day to day running of the company. During my time I had experience in every aspect of running a company from hiring staff, organising payroll, obtaining new clients, obtaining finance, asset purchasing and working with legal professionals. The business provided architectural, surveying and computer aided design services to a list of larger commercial organisations and domestic clients.
