As a Data Management Coordinator, I am responsible for organising, processing and analysing information to support our Student Office Manager and the Pro Vice-Chancellor in operational and strategic decision making. This involves generating reports and responding to enquiries regarding program information, special consideration/extenuating circumstances claims, program change/transfer applicants, appeals, student exchanges, and issues related to scholarships, grants and awards. My role requires tracking student progress throughout the enrolment cycle. In doing so, I assist students, as well as my academic colleagues, with regard to all course enrolment matters such as registration activation, credit statements, transcript and status letters, attestation of awards, and transfer of credits. My key strengths are in analysis of data. I have initiated, reviewed and developed a variety of management reports to manage University KPIs such as enrollment targets, student progress metrics which has enabled the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor and the Senior Management Team in making calculations to predict likely performance against target. These reports also influence the work of the Finance Office and inform policy and planning initiatives (e.g. scholarship schemes). Finally I remain an information consultant to our program leaders, academic faculty and heads of schools to provide them with timely data and analysis to meet their specific data requirements. To do so, I apply excellent verbal and written communication/data presentation skills and show commitment to strong customer focus by being empathetic and responsive to customers’ (students, senior management, academic colleagues) requirements, problems and complaints. Strong planning and organisational skills, coupled with attention to details and persistent follow-through enable me to meet challenging deadlines and complex requirements satisfactorily. Show less

I joined Middlesex University Dubai at the beginning of the year after moving to Dubai in 2016. I was put in charge of managing the digitisation process for student documentation which involved working with a new software system provided by Avalon Solutions. Within this time, I have been able to input, review and proof-check more than 1,000 student documents. While I was conducting my duties, I was also invited to assist the Human Resources (HR) department and the Finance Office for the implementation of new software systems related to staff administration and student finance. I have also supported the Admissions team with critical student recruitment processes such as generating and sending offer letters under quite tight deadlines, for prospective students seeking entry into the University’s academic programmes. Although higher education is a new field for me, I have been able to demonstrate rapid progress in learning about the sector and its critical processes such as the student life-cycle. At the same time, I have proved my technical competence through quickly learning and accurately implementing new software systems in a range of departments at the University. My main strengths have been attention to detail, problem-solving in new scenarios and my ability to work independently with minimal supervision while sticking to assigned deadlines. I believe that my flexibility and adaptability, as well as pro-activeness and good relationship-building approaches, have allowed me to be welcomed in a variety of settings at Middlesex. I have also volunteered to support the University at important student-facing events such as Career Skills Workshops, English Language Workshops and Student Induction. Show less

I joined Al Masa Group’s IT Distribution company’s Tehran office which represents an array of world leading brands such as Asus, Seagate, Acer, HP, AMD, Intel, NVidia, Lenovo, LG, Dell, Fujitsu in Iran. As the main distributor of the aforementioned brands in Iran (alongside markets like UAE, Kuwait & Saudi Arabia), Al Masa Group has developed a strong reputation by delivering excellent service and knowledgeable technical support to its customers. As the Technical Projects Coordinator in the Engineering Support division, I was in-charge of managing primary communications channels between our engineering team and our Principal Partners (such as ASUS) to facilitate device maintenance and repair work routines. As part of this process, I was responsible for organising the workflows for engineers, assigning tasks, placing orders for spare-parts and component items, and administering and updating the materials sourcing software for our Principal Partners (such as KBO for ASUS, PRODIGI for Lenovo and Acer). Assigning tasks equitably across our team of engineers, tracking progress and updating clients and our Engineering Support Manager in a timely manner were part of my main duties. I had also designed and delivered several on-the-job training sessions for new engineers. One of the key challenges was to keep customers satisfied while their mobile and other devices were being serviced and I was able to do this through empathetic, professionalism and timely communication. Some of my strengths were that I was able to work calmly even under significant workload pressure and with tight deadlines across multiple technical support job requests on a daily basis. Similarly I was able to use my communication skills in multiple languages to gain the trust of an influence our engineers into delivering solutions to our customers with quick turnarounds. Show less
