Operations Manager
-
Mar 1994 - Jul 2000
Ship Managers of two small bulk carriers trading exclusively between the Caribbean and Mediterranean Sea. This was the beginning of my Shipping career which created a passion for the shipping industry. My first job in shipping was responsible for teaching me the importance of coordination and collaboration between all the departments in a Ship management company. My day to day responsibilities included working in all departments primarily in the Operations and Chartering Department. However due to the fact that this was a small management company, consisting of only three employees, I was able to learn and gain valuable experience in all departments that related with the Operations processes involved with ship management. I was taught by the Port Captain about the importance of the cargo characteristics and problem solving. Show less
