Girish Shivakumar
Not everyone gets an opportunity to report to a manager who also turns out to be a good mentor in your first job, but I did when I worked with Silpa. I had the pleasure to work on her team for around two years but was continued to be mentored right through my time at juwi. The one thing I was particularly impressed with her was the work ethic, a highly valuable trait to pick up early on in my career. She did bring in the experience of working in big companies and integrate seamlessly into the flexible but demanding environment of a growing company. As a manager she always ensured to highlight the positives from any work before being critical of it, but a good job never went unnoticed be it within the team, the management or international colleagues. Looking back, I have to acknowledge that without her support I couldn’t have worked across the different functions in the company on particular tasks. She allowed me to pursue my interests within the company as long as I delivered on my tasks. I enjoyed the professional interactions including picking up on the technical expertise and managerial thoughts. I believe her personality and experience would fit any organisation looking to build a team for the long run.

Silpa known to me for past 5 years and from joining date to today I see the same energy, commitment in her towards the work. Silpa is one of the most efficient Team member of Juwi, who has excellent knowledge in solar power plant designs. With her excellent technical skills she managed designs for more than 150MW on her own. She also worked on projects in Australia, Philippines, Malaysia. She is great team player, open minded and share knowledge with all. She always work towards cost effective designs with regular interactions with supplier design team to minimize the cost without compromising safety and project requirements. I wish Silpa good luck..
