Global Technical Solutions Advisor
-
Nov 2007 - Mar 2014
Superior Energy Services Inc., a stock listed American oil service company acquired the company in 2007 being a strategic buy-over of the Dutch subsidiary to obtain a footstep on the European market. Since Superior Energy Services aquired BPC in 2007, I continued working as a Global Technical Solutions Advisor overlooking Superior’s global workover and snubbing projects. In this role I liaised with their customers and Superior’s management seeking for the best alternatives for their planned and future projects. Show less

Operations Director
-
Sep 1999 - Oct 2007
Co-founded Balance Point Control, a snubbing and workover company. Competing with a multinational such as Halliburton is challenging. Perseverance and an innovative vision yielded in a company that flourished rapidly within the industry. BPC obtained a clientele consisting of high-end operating companies such as BP, Shell and Exxon Mobil just in two years after start up. Due to the progressive attitude of management towards developing market-oriented innovative solutions such as the development of an infield Data Acquisition System and the Space Saver I unit. Due to these innovations and the founders expertise, BPC has been awarded with several ‘challenging’ projects such as re-controlling a ‘blow-out’ for GASAG downtown Berlin. Show less

Field Engineer
-
Mar 1988 - Mar 1996
After a practice oriented study in mechanical engineering, I started in 1988 as an intern at the hydraulic workover and snubbing division of Otis Engineering, later Halliburton, a multinational corporation. In the subsequent years I was involved at all ranks, in various projects throughout the globe. I obtained my niche expertise during projects ranging from underbalanced drilling, fishing, abandonments, tubing conveyed perforations, acid stimulation, ESP workover to wire line, coiled tubing and well control operations. Furthermore during this period did I took part of a Blow-Out Recovery Team (BRT); a well control ‘first-responding’ team for projects world-wide working closely together on complicated projects with renowed well control companies.
