Blue Bottle is a coffee roaster that started in the early 2000's in the Bay Area and has become a major player in the coffee industry focusing on single origin beans and collaborating with high quality brewing tools. With the pandemic many companies have had to put more emphasis on their online presence and Blue Bottle wanted to tackle this through their commerce experience for their holiday campaign Winter Blooms. Collaborating with their long time floral artist Sayaka Wada they brought a floral theme to the holiday collection. I designed the collection page that contained all the holiday products with the primary goal to make the shopping experience both commerce friendly but also bring an editorial look and feel to set them apart from a standard collection page grid. I also redesigned their homepage for the website. The goal here was to make a design that paired with the collection page but could also have modules that could be recycled/mixed and matched long after the holiday campaign. An underlying goal and theme of the whole project was to bring the cafe experience online. With the pandemic limiting our face to face interaction, communicating brand through new mediums has become ever more important. Since holiday I have been working with the creative team to create ongoing marketing assets, specially email marketing and digital ads. Collaborating with teams outside of creative like copy team, coffee team, and marketing team to continue to reach Blue Bottle customers in these times where virtual communication is vital. Show less

American Giant was founded in a moment of opportunity: where dissatisfaction with the way clothes were made, met new technologies that enabled smaller supply chains and selling directly to people. Confident in the belief that, through American ingenuity and innovation, they could go against the current and do better. American Giant started by making a better hoodie (and later jeans, T-shirts and more) with honest, human values built in. So when you buy from American Giant, you invest in our values. In an effort to elevate the brand visuals to feel more premium and current, American Giant and I teamed up to create visual cohesion across all brand touchpoints.Working with their creative leader we looked deeper into where American Giant stands in the fashion realm and how they present next to their competitors. We also analyzed current American Giant brand elements that are working as well as their core values and target customers to better inform the visual language. A large part of American Giants personality leans into the heritage and American made aspect of their product. To retain this we selected a color palette inspired by the American flag, using a deep navy, cream and vibrant red as accent. We chose typefaces that felt both grounded yet approachable and show similar characteristics to the logo wordmark. American Giant makes clothing that’s durable, not disposable. High quality. Built to last. Straightforward style that endures beyond trends. Unlike most stuff you can buy, it's made to be worn—not end up in a landfill. Show less

Cora is a modern women’s wellness brand creating innovative products to shift the way women perceive and manage their periods, bladder leaks, post-birth recovery, and other natural experiences. Cora approached me wanting to redesign their packaging with the primary goal to better navigate their product lines and increase their shelf presence. Through extensive user testing Cora was able to narrow down a strategy that would best reach their target audience. I was a key player in taking those learnings and applying them to layout design that fit the Cora brand. Show less
