As a Full Stack Developer working in OhumSKY product Engineering team, I was responsible for developing new module specific workflows within the application. A module is specifically a department within the hospital like the ADT shall represent the outpatient appointment and inpatient admissions. I was mainly working in the - ADT, Labs, Radiology, CSSD (Central Sterile Storage Department), Inventory and (BUO) Bullk Upload Operations - modules. The BUO module is a pure back end service that performs bulk registration of patients, creates Visits and Adds COVID Lab tests orders. The BUO also enabled the product to perform imports of patients from any other systems while migration. I was also handling the area of Integrations acting as a Subject Matter Expert on Healthcare Integration. It enables the product to send and receive HL7 messages from and to OhumSKY. The generation of messages takes place on basis of an event that happen at the front desk. I have had the privilege to work and Integrate OhumSKY with Malaffi which is the Abu Dhabi state owned HIE(Health Information Exchange). Another key implementation was Integration between OhumSKY and a 3rd party HIS for the GKNMH Hospitals, Coimbatore. Technology wise, the product was a Spring Boot application following a Monolithic architecture with 2 flavors - OhumG which was developed for public health enterprises, and used Oracle as a DB, and OhumSKY used Postgres SQL as its DB. We also leveraged NodeJS to perform certain operations with the application ecosystem.

I implemented the Surescripts NCPDP Batch Implementation guide. This enables the customer to retrieve medications information with various PBMs (Pharmacy Benefits Management) through Surescripts network. As a result of this, the customer can search for all the medications that were ordered and administered for this patient. I implemented Direct Messaging Integration, that allows sending patient sensitive Data or a CCD directly from one provider to another. For this purpose we leveraged the Kno2 Direct Messaging APIs. Apart from these implementations, I had deep exposure in integrating with RESTful APIs or SOAP enabled APIs. I also performed a POC, that can convert HL7 message to FHIR objects and reverse.
