  getFoodi was a 2 sided marketplace connecting sellers (bakers) of fine desserts to buyers that had something to celebrate, or a sweet tooth, which we the founders sold at the end of 2017. My role in this startup company was Director focusing on CTO responsibilities as well as senior developer. Our effort was very technology driven with the intention of providing a national marketplace that provided local selling & buying capabilities to producers & consumers of fine desserts. The application offered - Geolocated product search with filters & categories - Customer portal - Baker portal - Streamlined scheduling & calendaring of minimum/maximum baker capacity & availability - Value add & customisation system complete with chat system for bakers & buyers to be able to share ideas & photos, agree on price & lock in the agreement. - Payment gateway - Automatic invoicing of both buyers & sellers - Backend administration gateway - Delivery staff gateway including management, scheduling, mapping & route optimisation Core technologies included: Ruby/Ruby on Rails TS/JS/Nodejs with Express, React & CycleJS Postgres & Redis Containersation via Docker AWS Infrastructure A plethora of 3rd party API's, monitoring tools, chat tools, etc...
