Sian joined Netflorist as a Senior Business Analyst, and the first onshore Business analyst for the company. This meant that Sian: • Established standards for the role such as what documentation must be used by any future Business analysts. • Re-engineered the existing structure which had business owners speaking directly to developers and not the Business analysts. In addition to this Sian was responsible for: • Project Management of all tasks. • Extending operational hours for the business. • Implementing a new Stock Management Tool which is used company wide to determine stock levels on the website. • Recreating the Back end system where orders are received and processed, which included system analysis of the AS IS system, and then creating the TO BE which is currently in use by the various business areas. • Support of all operation system requirements – from user creation, rights amendment, issues faced with the system and any other system queries given. • Re-engineering out dated processes. • Work on the Refunds application, the Returns process, Bulk Import for Corporate Orders and Fraud Checks on Credit cards. • Testing of all applications pre and post deployment. • Business support of applications post deployment. All of the above was done using a combination of the Prince 2 and Agile methodologies. Given that Netflorist is a retail ecommerce company there is much flexibility in the project approach used, often dictated by the timelines and the experience of the developer. Show less
