  For this position I work as a Support Worker in a group home which houses adults with intellectual disabilities. As a worker in the home I am responsible for the overall care of each individual supported. This includes but is not limited to administering medication, preparing and feeding meals, and assisting with personal hygiene. As a staff we must advocate for the individuals we support who are unable to speak for themselves. This can be in regards to anything on a daily basis as well as concerning their medical treatment.

  My daily responsibilities include assisting customers with their running and other fitness needs. Daily tasks include problem solving, proper gait analysis and footwear fitting, clothing education, as well as cash handling. As management I am responsible for dealing with customer conflicts when they arise and adhering to company policy when doing so. When the Manager is away I am responsible for ensuring the success of the store on a day to day basis. This includes completing weekly cash deposits at the bank. The store has a variety of Running Clinics in which the management team is responsible for overseeing. This includes completing a variety of brief talks to clinic participants such as proper shoe selection, clothing, as well as the basics for each clinic. As a key holder I also ensure proper opening and closing procedures such as cash deposits, computer shutdown, and store cleaning.
