Theoretical and computational research regarding strong correlations and superconductivity on the flat band with Professors George Batrouni and Benoît Gremaud. - Implemented DMRG calculations on supercomputing resources provided by National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore - Formulated a mean field theory and solved it self-consistently using codes written in Python language. - Multi band mean field theory and exact DMRG results agree perfectly for the superconducting system. - Designed flat band models to study topology in condensed matter physics, specifically superconductivity on flat bands and its dependence on band topology and band gap. - Showed how a static field on a topologically trivial lattice can induce flat band superconductivity. Currently working on the interplay between disorder and interactions on gapped and gapless flat band systems. Show less
