Health Promotion Project Officer

- Effective planning and delivering health promotion activities to increase awareness about viral hepatitis amongst priority populations. - Planning, designing, conducting and evaluating education/information sessions for people from priority populations, including Young People, people in custodial settings, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people from CALD backgrounds for those affected by viral hepatitis. - Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and partners working with those affected by viral hepatitis. - Providing workforce development training around viral hepatitis to people who work with the priority population groups including healthcare professionals, Aboriginal Health Workers, community and welfare workers, drug and alcohol workers, Prison Officers and custodial staff and education sector staff. - Ensuring the collection of necessary data for evaluation of education and training activities. - Maintaining confidentiality of information about service users, members, staff, volunteers and other personnel. - Promoting Hepatitis Victoria’s services to outside agencies and individuals. Team work: - Reporting to the Health Promotion Programs Manager on progress of activities and programs and develop written progress reports for the organisation and project funders as required. - Contribute to Hepatitis Victoria publications and monthly e-newsletters. - Undertaking Hepatitis Infoline shifts - Contributing to Hepatitis Victoria initiatives such as World Hepatitis Day, Hepatitis Community Grants, Liverability Festival and the StreetShot program. - Promote a friendly climate, good morale and co-operation within the Hepatitis Victoria team. - Take actions, make decisions, and shape priorities (individual, group or team) to reflect the organisation’s vision and values.

Dentist

-Solely responsible for the clinic on the whole inclusive of being in charge of other staff and financial matters. -Performed regular dental work like examining patient’s teeth and diagnosing their dental conditions (filling cavities, examining X-rays and repairing fractured teeth, replacing missing teeth along with diagnosing & treating conditions such as decaying teeth and gum disease). -Dealt with routine appointments and check-ups, took impressions etc. -Responsible in dealing with emergency cases like immediate pain relief.
