I worked with Professor Brad Myers at the CMU Human-Computer Interaction Institute on interaction techniques. Specifically, we a group of 3 started a research project on designing and developing keyboard for ultrasmall devices (e.g smartwatch) under his advisory. Our research paper has just been accepted by IEEE Symposium on Visual Languages and Human Centric Computing (VL/HCC) 2017 (short paper)Here are my highlights of the project:Designed layouts and interactions for a 6-to-7-key wearable smartwatch keyboard; planned and conducted formative and summative user testing; proposed innovative text input design heuristics for wearables and demonstrated utility of procedural knowledge transfer from traditional QWERTY keyboard Show less
