I founded, managed and facilitated this community arts organisation.Group aims: to promote the education and well being of people from different ethnic communities, particularly refugees and asylum seekers, through the organisation of activities and workshops that provide opportunities for: intercultural learning, social interaction, integration, cultural exchange, communication and understanding.Duties included: Facilitation, training, volunteer management and recruitment, management committee support, fundraising, record-keeping, report-writing, monitoring and evaluation, budget management, event-planning, marketing and communications, publicity, administration.Over the three years I raised over £35,000 for the group.In both 2009 ‘and’ 2010 we won two consecutive monetary Awards for Bridging Cultures from the Institute of Community Cohesion.
