Planned and carried out the summer research project about the “Divorce Temple” Tōkeiji in the Edo Period Japan(1603-1868) focuses on gender inequalities in marriage and divorce rights/practices of impoverished Bushi class and hyakushō village women.3. Learned pre and post-Edo Japanese history and Kuzushiji.4. Translated Edo divorce letters to English and produced a 30-page research paper.
