Investigated the iatrogenic exposure to IARC Group 1 carcinogen Aristolochic Acid (AA) from dietary intake of traditional herbal medicines containing Aristolochia species. Worked with Drs. Shom Goel and Rakesh Jain at the Steele Lab for Tumor Biology. Conducted a translational study on anti-angiogenic treatment for breast cancer. Elucidated the Angiopoietin/Tie-2 pathway in tumor blood vessel normalization and applied the finding to improve current breast cancer treatment. Worked with Drs.
