Implemented Dijkstra's algorithm to traverse the Graph Database consisting of 3 billion Nodes to find a connection between any to given genes, pathways, phenotypes and diseases. Part 2: Research : Performance evaluation of Virtual Graph Databases - D2RQ Did a thorough performance evaluation of the Virtual Graph Database (D2RQ) and compared it against In Memory Graph Database (Allegrograph). Learnings : a) This performance evaluation helped me learn that the Virtual Graph Database is efficient only for a record base of only half a million records. b) It offers a great flexibility when you add new columns to the database, You dont need to change anything other than a small configuration change in an xml file. Programming Languages Used : Python, R Show less
