Working under the Dean Outreach and Alumni Affairs, Team Students'​ Alumni Cell strives to establish and nurture the interaction between the Institute and its alumni. It has served as a platform facilitating communication between the current students of IIT Kharagpur and their predecessors. The team works on facets like Networking, Publications, and Events with an objective to keep the alumni connected to their Alma Mater and updated about the latest happenings in the Institute. We organize events like the Annual Alumni Meet (Reunion), Regional Student-Alumni Meets, and Guest lectures and carry on programmes like the Student Alumni Mentorship Programme to meet our objective.- Appointed as the Coordinator (Sponsorship Head), responsible for raising funds for yearlong activities and accountable for the initiatives proposed and undertaken by the Students' Alumni Cell.- Responsible for organising the 19th Annual Alumni Meet, consisting of 15 events with the participation of 180+ Alumni- Planned and organized IIT Kharagpur's 3rd Homecoming, a reunion that involved 10 events that saw the participation of 80+ alumni- Part of the apex executive body of the Students Alumni Cell that leads the student members, creative team, and associates.- Organised Alumni Talks in association with Boston Consulting Group with 5 eminent speakers. The Student Mentor Programme of the Student Welfare Group assists many first-year students each year in adapting to and thriving in university life. Each incoming first-year student is paired with a current third- or fourth-year student in his major field to provide academic and personal support throughout the year. Many KGP students' lives have been improved as a result. - As a candidate for the position of Vice-President in the annual Technology Students' Gymkhana Elections (2023-24), I represented a cohort of over 2000 eligible student voters out of a total of 5821 individuals who participated in the election from the Institute's General Body, consisting of more than 15000 members - Drafted and presented my Statement of Purpose to an audience of over 3000 individuals. Does political pressure increase after partial privatization? - Preprocessed the data of 270 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to see its variation in perfomance after the partial privatisation - Computed the values of all the financial parameters of a firm after being partially privatized comparing in isolation and within its industry - Performed T-Test on partially privatized firms to measure the improvement in performance post privatization is statistically significant - Applied difference in differences test working with panel data to compare the CPSEs which are fully owned by the Government of India 2. Effects of Bank Recapitalisation on banks of India - Applied bank performance measures such as Capital Adequacy ratio & Net Interest Margin to check the effect of capital infusion on banks - Used difference in differences test to compare the performance of banks with other banks in which the capital was not infused by RBI - Compared the performance of the banks for the 2 financial years pre (FY16 & FY17) and post-recapitalization (FY18 & FY19) of the banks Show less
