During my entire career I was closely associated as a stake holder in several multi million pound projects in various roles, gaining substantial insight and control over KPIs of project execution.(2005 – 2009) Reheat Furnace & Gas Supply Revamping - CORUS Port Talbot Works (£ 20 Million)After successfully negotiating and winning the order of £ 20 Million for my French employer, I worked as the coordinator for this project as I am based in the UK. This was a time critical project as site work had to be carried out in a 5 weeks window of shut down and any delay would involve complete stoppage of flat steel production in the UK. My work, as a key stake holder, involved engineering, sourcing of critical components, logistics, site training and scheduling of personnel of various skills at different stages of site work, HAZOP and other statutory compliance, co ordination of day to day project management with the client by participating in all crucial and progress meetings and meeting time critical commitments and inputs. The whole project involved conceptual reengineering of vital production units and innovation of technology and was fraught with high technical and commercial risks without deep understanding and timely identification and remedial control of project inputs and activities. Any delay would translate in a Profit Loss of £ 50,000 /hr for the customer.(1986 – 1992) Six New Reheat Furnaces for 3 Rolling Mills - VIZAG STEEL (Current Value £ 25 Million)Working as the assistant to the Project Manager, I have had substantial experience as a major stake holder and responsibility of execution of these large projects for a major client on a site in India. (1981 – 1985) Project Management Team for Rolling Mills – 4 million TPY VIZAG STEEL ProjectAfter being hand picked and assigned to this prestigious team, I had the unique and rare experience of project engineering for an integrated steel works. supervision of the project consultants

Working as the assistant to the Project Manager, I have had substantial experience as a major stake holder and responsibility of execution of these large projects for a major client on a site in India. As the orders for the three rolling mills were passed over a three year period, the projects activities concurrently covered detailed engineering to commissioning, withy numerous challenges to resources management, administration and cash flow. As furnaces formed only part of the massive rolling mills, the project involved inputs from major international and Indian suppliers and consultants, causing numerous scheduling and other time and costs overrun issues. My work mostly covered attending numerous project progresses meeting and meeting the resulting commitments, solving substantial performance issues of the Indian collaborator for local part, and solving massive technical issues at site to avoid delays and penalties. The whole period has given me substantial hands on experience to site execution of major projects in consortium with other players.
