  The Toronto Star (Founded in 1892) has long been Canada’s largest daily newspaper. Now a multi-platform news organization with one of the most-visited newspaper websites in Canada, it publishes ongoing news and information to a global audience on web and mobile applications for its flagship brand as well as 6 Daily News Brands, over 36 Community Brands and operates dozens of digital businesses in Canada. • Designed a new white label app (which can be used across daily news brands) from concept to production in 6 weeks improving the overall UI and UX with a sleek new innovative design and experience. This included drawing up a research roadmap, planning and conducting generative and evaluative user interviews, market research, creating wireframes, hi-fed visual designs for mobile and tablet, conducting usability tests and working hands on with the development team daily. • Utilized a systematic UI/UX design process for successfully delivering designs on projects which included updating the visual designs, navigation and information architecture of 6 daily news websites and 26 community news websites, a Food and Recipe Centre of Excellence for The Toronto Star, and implementing subscriptions. • Worked with and communicated with Product and Delivery Managers daily, gathering clear business requirements and delivering designs on time. • Researched and analyzed competitive landscape within our market. • Generated wireframes, interactive prototypes (Invision, Figma) and hi-fidelity visual UI design mockups (Sketch) • Planned and conducted usability studies and testing. • Presented and communicated new designs and concepts to stakeholders and leaders. • Worked hands-on with development team daily in an agile software development process, to ensure accurate design implementation.
