Bio
Nick Markel
Shoghi is a great artist, but also just about one of the most positive people I know. I directly supervised him on a number of high profile feature films and every time he delivered. Previsualization is very fast turn around, so his work ethic made him someone that I counted on when we needed to get it done fast. At the same time he has a good eye and has many creative talents. His animation is solid all around. Often times he has ideas to contribute that dramatically improve the end result. One of the top generalist here at The Third Floor; he can do a little bit of everything. He also has great traditional skills which I feel help to keep his perspective fresh for the day job. Finally, above all Shoghi’s attitude is definitely one of his strongest attributes, ready to jump and have fun doing it no matter how difficult the task. If given the opportunity, I’d work with him again in a heartbeat.
Chris Bowers
I had the pleasure of working with Shoghi on one of his first jobs out of school. His eagerness and enthusiasm was boundless. His creativity and imagination bubbled over into every shot and every conversation. He absorbed technical knowledge like a sponge. Shoghi has a number of physical pursuits resulting in a natural athleticism and an instinctive feel for the way things move and the timing involved, all of which translates into an instinctive animator's eye. With either characters or just objects, Shoghi manages to imbue a lot of life into a scene quickly. He's also a fun guy to have around and knows where cool parties are!

Worked as a full on Previz generalist, tackling tasks such as: Shot creation, environment creation, asset creation and rigging, character/object animation, camera animation and shot blocking, stunt/fight choreography and motion studies, scene direction and pitch-viz. My greatest strengths have shown to be Character/Camera/Object animation. Specifically more often towards motion studies and fight choreography, such as the work I did for Disney/Marvel on many of their recent blockbusters ( Civil War,Iron Man 2/3, and Maleficent) to name a few.
