Kautex Texton is a prominent player in the automotive industry, specializing in the production of automotive plastic fuel tanks. As an intern at Kautex Texton, my primary focus was on utilizing the CAE tool HyperMesh for various tasks related to fuel tank analysis. Here's a brief overview of my internship experiences: CAD Model Import and Geometry Clean-up: I used HyperMesh to import CAD models of fuel tank components, followed by performing geometry clean-up to optimize the models for analysis. This involved topology repair and defeature operations to simplify the geometry. Meshing: With HyperMesh, I gained proficiency in different meshing techniques such as 1D meshing, shell meshing, solid meshing, and mid-surface meshing. I also created connections between meshed components to ensure proper analysis representation. 2D Element Quality Check: After meshing, I conducted quality checks on 2D elements, evaluating factors like aspect ratio, skewness, and distortion to ensure accurate and reliable results. Check for Free Edges and Element Normals: I performed checks to identify any free edges in the mesh and verified the consistency and orientation of element normals, ensuring proper connectivity and accurate analysis. Material Properties Assignment and Export to Solver: Using HyperMesh, I assigned appropriate material properties to the meshed fuel tanks components, such as elasticity, density, and thermal properties. Finally, I exported the model to the solver for further analysis. Additionally, my internship at Kautex Texton provided valuable insights into the company's global business operations. This experience also helped me enhance my communication skills through collaboration with professionals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Show less

Jul 2018 - Sep 2018
During my internship at JCR Drillsol Private Limited, I had the opportunity to gain valuable insights and hands-on experience in various aspects of the company's operations. Here are some key highlights of my internship: Conducted a comprehensive study of the basic working procedures of the company, allowing me to understand the core operations and processes that drive its success. Engaged in an in-depth analysis of the products developed by the company, including their manufacturing procedures and components. This enabled me to grasp the intricacies of the manufacturing process and the quality standards maintained by the company. Played a significant role in drafting the customer drawing for the Compressor Support Truck, specifically the Ashok Leyland BOSS 1113 model. This involved capturing all the necessary specifications and details required for manufacturing the truck to meet customer requirements. Successfully drafted customer drawings for Bit Spanners of various sizes. This task involved precise measurements and technical specifications to ensure the accurate production of these essential tools. Conducted a comprehensive study on the components and workings of the Down The Hole (DTH) Hammer assembly used in the Drill Rig. This involved understanding the functionality, assembly process, and maintenance requirements of this critical drilling equipment. Performed stress analysis on the Button bit of the Down The Hole Hammer. The analysis aimed to evaluate the structural integrity and durability of the bit under different operating conditions. The results of the analysis provided valuable insights for optimizing the design and enhancing the performance of the bit. Show less
