      My project at Tata Steel focused on employee satisfaction by improving the canteen service's overall ambience by making the canteens more comfortable for employees by recommending changes in terms of overall ambience, food services, feedback process, SOP formation. Understanding the relation between employee engagement and productivity with respect to amenties (Canteen services for all employees). The scope focused on Grievance Management, Overall Ambience Change and Service Behavior & Personal Hygiene. To understand the current employee satisfaction, I used Qualitative and Quantitative research methodology. Aspects such as improvement on quality of food, servcie and ambience were major highlights of the research. Recommendations were designed accordingly which would help in improving the satisfaction score. Key learning while working with Tata Steel were 1. Understanding the employee's feedback via interaction rather than paper based surveys 2. The role of Human resource in a plant environement is different from the corporate sector.
