I had the privilege to work with Shiva for over 5 years during our time together at AppointmentPlus. As his manager, I appreciated Shiva's attention to detail and his strategic mindset for mobile applications for both Google Android and Apple iOS. Prior to Shiva joining the business, we had not had a dedicated or focused Product Manager for the mobile applications. Shortly after he joined the company, he developed a roadmap for enhancing the application's functionality and building out a plan for migrating the mobile applications from a SOAP-based API to a Restful API. This change required Shiva to manage the team to ensure the previous functionality continued to work as expected. In his role, Shiva was also concerned about the user experience. Whenever a user reported an issue with the mobile applications, he would work closely with the Support organization to ensure the issue was documented and escalated to the company's Jira instance. After a few years in his role, he was able to prioritize and deploy fixes to app defects and achieved (and maintained) a defect rate of 0 for 2 years. This was a huge accomplishment that was able to improve the perception of the mobile applications both within the business as well as for end users. I am grateful for the opportunity to work closely with Shiva and to partner with him on delivering high-quality mobile applications for the AppointmentPlus scheduling application. I would recommend Shiva for other Product Manager roles in the future, as he has the skills and business mindset to manage software applications of any type according to the business need and vision. Shiva is a good communicator and personable individual. He embraced change and I could count on him to support his products to the best of his ability.
