Newcastle, Australia In 2008, I undertook a three-month internship with BHP Billiton as a Junior Research Fellow at the Newcastle Technology Centre. The project I worked on was devoted to the development of methods for determination of individual radionuclides in metal ore concentrates. As a result of my work, several techniques for the rapid estimation of radionuclide concentration in the leached copper ore specimens were designed.
